The installations of the port are concessions of the Integral Port Administration of Mazatlan, SA de CV. It has obtained a high level of quality port service and thus has attracted even more cargo tonnage.

The Port of Mazatlan is located on the North West coast of Mexico, in the southern part of the state of Sinaloa. It has lots of commercial, fishing and tourist activity. In addition to serving Sinaloa, it also attends many needs of the states of Nayarit, Durango, Sonora and Baja California Sur. There is a lot of international cruise ship activity that connects the Mexican west coast with the west coast of the USA.

It is an important place for exported agricultural, industrial, fishing and automobile products. Lots of petroleum is moved, serving various regions.

Presently Mazatlan has traffic to and from Japan, South Korea, Venezuela, Columbia, Ecuador, Brazil, Peru, Chile, Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Greece, Cyprus, Malta, Lebanon, Libya, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Arab Emirates, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, Tunis and South Africa, among others.
